Square Dance at The Ferry House

Morgantown friends - Save the date: Friday, April 18!

Calling all community dance enthusiasts, square dance callers (new and seasoned), and old-time musicians.

Annick Odom is organizing this square dance as a part of her apprenticeship with Taylor Runner through the West Virginia Folklife Program, She comments, "I'd like to have a space to practice calling, but also because I think more callers = more square dances in the future and better calling = better dances :) And most importantly, I think more community dance events lead to stronger, healthier communities".

I hope you'll come out and support some callers (including me) who want to try some new-to-them dances.

With a grant from the Scotts Run Resonance Project we have the opportunity to offer free art workshops this winter.
